Production Manager (Food Industry)

Location: Doral , Florida

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our Herbs team and drive efficiency, quality, and growth in our production processes.

We are looking for a skilled Production Manager with a background in the food industry to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food production processes, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for managing a team of production staff, optimizing production schedules, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

2. Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.

3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including food safety and sanitation standards.

4. Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that products meet company standards and customer specifications.

5. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.

6. Manage and develop a team of production staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.

7. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, procurement, food safety and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.

8. Monitor production metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

9. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that all safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the food industry.

3. Strong understanding of food production processes, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).

4. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

6. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.

7. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

8. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

9. Knowledge of ERP systems and production planning software is preferred.

10. Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
