Role Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will manage the daily movement of shipments, ensuring all operational deadlines are met. This includes dispatching, scheduling appointments, preparing shipping and billing documentation, and maintaining clear communication with customers and carriers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic and international shipments (Air, Ocean, Truck, Courier)
Establish pricing with carriers and manage tenders
Handle logistics-related billing and documentation
Consolidate loads and select cost-effective delivery methods
Communicate with customers and carriers daily
Ensure carrier compliance with all regulations
Maintain accurate shipment and billing records in the TMS system
Support problem resolution and process improvements
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of port/rail dispatch experience (Imports, Exports, LCL, Air Freight)
Experience with Hazmat cargo preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, WMS, and TMS
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Team-oriented and results-driven mindset
