Congressional Country Club is seeking Seasonal Stewards/Dishwashers to join our culinary team. Stewards/Dishwashers play a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly, ensuring all utensils, china, flatware, glassware, and equipment are clean and sanitized.

What You'll Do

• Wash all wares by machine or hand according to the highest sanitation standards

• Polish silverware, platters, and chafing dishes

• Collect and remove trash; wash, reline, and sanitize garbage cans; break down boxes and crates

• Ensure reusable items are not discarded in the trash

• Wash and polish stainless steel surfaces (shelves, cabinets, ice machines, refrigerators, etc.)

• Clean receiving areas, trash rooms, and other kitchen-related spaces

• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a safe, clean environment

• Store dishes and wares in their proper areas

• Clean the dishwasher and the dish area after each meal period

• Assist with food preparation, storing deliveries, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storerooms

• Maintain inventories of soap, chemicals, and paper supplies

• Transfer supplies and equipment as needed between storage and work areas

• Handle china and glassware carefully to minimize breakage

• Inspect floors regularly to ensure they remain clean, dry, and safe

• Complete weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance checklists

• Safely store all brooms, mops, and cleaning equipment

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends

• Dependable, team-oriented, and detail-focused
