Job Description

Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking School Psychologists for the 2025-2026 school year! The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aid in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district. Minimum Requirements: + Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment + Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred + Master's degree in psychology preferred + Current CPR if applicable + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Duties and Responsibilities: + Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. + Support students facing mental health and developmental challenges through counseling, intervention, and referral services. + Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies. + Assist in qualifying students for additional support services by interpreting assessment data and recommending appropriate interventions. + Provide on-site psychological services in accordance with state and district guidelines. + Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as needed to ensure academic and emotional growth. + Promote a safe and inclusive school environment by implementing programs that foster resilience, social skills, and conflict resolution. + Maintain accurate and confidential records of student evaluations, services provided, and outcomes. + Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology and special education.
