This Registered Nurse position specializes in Oncology and is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients. The role involves administering chemotherapy, managing IV infusions, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position requires working every other weekend and floating within scope to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy treatments.
- Manage body fluid handling post-chemotherapy.
- Handle continuous infusions and IV push administration of chemotherapy.
- Manage and dispose of cytotoxic spills.
- Monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy.
- Administer oral chemotherapy medications.
- Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values.
- Access and manage ports.
- Administer coagulation factors, antifungals, and antivirals.
- Administer blood and blood products.
- Provide care and management of central lines and implanted lines.
- Provide PICC line care.
- Start IVs.
- Float as needed within scope to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois or be in the application process.
- Chemotherapy certification.
- Required Chemotherapy Skills/Experience: Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy, Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, Management/disposal cytotoxic spills, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy, Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values.
- Required IV Therapy/Infusion Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals, Antivirals, Blood/Blood product administration, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line care, Starting IVs.

Special Considerations:
- Must be able to work every other weekend.

- Ideally, no more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO).
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without pay.
- If placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.
- Acute Care Hospital - Level I trauma center. Magnet hospital/facility.
Scheduling:
- 4x12 or 3x12 Day shifts (7:15 AM - 6:45 PM) - able to accommodate 3x12s if a candidate.
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
