Step into a precision-focused day at KMM Group

You arrive to a queue of mission-critical parts destined for air, space, and life‑saving applications. Your day begins by reviewing blueprints, sketches, models, and product descriptions to determine the exact setup and tooling strategy for electrical discharge machining.

You translate the plan into action: setting up and operating RAM (sinker) EDMs, dialing in workholding, and modifying G & M codes to fine-tune paths and parameters. You document and communicate your setups so teammates can repeat them with confidence. Throughout, you verify that every RAM EDM part meets specification using precision gaging, and you remove finish marks as required. When needed, you fit or assemble components—such as punches into punch—ensuring each piece comes together perfectly.

What you’ll handle

• Study specifications (blueprints, sketches, models, and descriptions) to define setups, tooling, and process steps for EDM parts.
• Set up and run RAM (sinker) EDMs to produce parts to print.
• Modify G & M codes to optimize performance and outcomes.
• Inspect and verify conformance using appropriate gauges.
• Remove finish marks and, at times, fit/assemble parts such as punches into punch.
• Communicate setups clearly to other personnel as needed.
