The Butcher’s Daughter is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Cook to join our plant-forward culinary team. We are looking for individuals with experience in a professional pastry or baking environment , who are passionate about scratch-made desserts, laminated doughs, vegan or gluten-free pastry work, and maintaining the integrity of our seasonal, ingredient-driven menu.

This position is for you if you have:A strong teamwork mentality
A positive, curious, and continually learning attitude
Experience in pastry production, baking, or dessert plating (preferred)
A current Food Handlers Card (optional)
Organized, clean, and detail-oriented work habits
A passion for plant-based or health-conscious baking (a plus!)
Prepare high-quality pastry items according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and plating guidelines
Produce baked goods, desserts, doughs, batters, fillings, and sauces with consistency and accuracy
Ensure all pastry items are fresh, properly stored, and visually appealing
Taste all prepared items to ensure quality and flavor standards
Follow established recipes correctly
Maintain accurate records and assist with production logs when needed
Clean and sanitize pastry workspaces, equipment, and storage areas at all times
Properly store or discard extra product following safe food-handling guidelines
Maintain organized refrigeration, freezer, and dry storage areas
Operate and maintain pastry equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and smallwares
Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory as needed
Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor immediately
Attend kitchen meetings, trainings, and safety sessions
Maintain positive working relationships across the BOH/FOH team
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean, safe kitchen
Perform additional duties as assigned
