Job Overview:
The State of Michigan, DTMB, is seeking a Senior iOS Test Engineer to support the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Accounts Receivable and Collections (ARC) Project. The role involves designing, executing, and automating test cases for iOS applications, performing ADA compliance testing, API testing, and contributing to a high-quality software delivery lifecycle in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for iOS applications.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman , REST clients, or automation frameworks.
Conduct ADA/Accessibility testing using tools such as AccVerify, JAWS , ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright , or similar.
Write and execute SQL/P-SQL queries for test data setup and validation against databases (Oracle/SQL Server).
Generate and document test plans, test strategies, and test metrics .
Execute tests across multiple build environments ( DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD ).
Collaborate with Agile teams to analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design effective test scenarios.
Identify, document, and track bugs and defects in tools like Azure DevOps .
Perform performance and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner .
Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate test results, risks, and findings to developers, BAs, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in software testing, including mobile app testing for iOS .
Hands-on experience with iOS test automation , mobile frameworks, and tools.
Proficiency with Java for automation scripts, Gherkin scenarios, and Step Definitions.
Strong understanding of SADLC, secure software development, and compliance standards .
Proficiency in SQL/P-SQL for testing and validation.
Experience using Azure DevOps or similar ticketing/ALM tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Android mobile testing as a secondary platform.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions .
Familiarity with JUnit, TestNG, XCTest, Espresso , or similar frameworks.
Experience with Eclipse, IntelliJ, or Xcode IDEs for test development.
Strong foundation in browser automation and web application testing.
