We are looking for an organized candidate to join our Team as a Fleet Manager with strong objective abilities! Our Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's fleet of cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Develops schedules and procedures and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company's fleet.
- Collaborates with managers and staff to control and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
- Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
- Maintains detailed record of vehicle inspection, servicing, warranties, registration, and driver assignments.
- Provides information for drafting reports on department operations and expenses.
- Makes recommendations for deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
- Utilizes GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles.
- Comply with U.S Department of Transport laws and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management desirable.
- DOT experience a plus.
- Three years of related fleet maintenance or repair work experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn fleet management operations and software.
- Ability to build schedules.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting performing desk work.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds unassisted at times.
- Ability to travel as needed.
