The Drywall Finisher/ Painter will be essential in preparing interior surfaces and ensuring a professional, high-quality finish for our modular units. This role requires expertise in drywall finishing techniques, including taping and mudding, as well as the skilled application of paint and other specialty finishes.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and Finish Drywall: Apply drywall compound to expertly fill and cover all joints, screws, nails, and other imperfections. Sand surfaces smooth once dry and apply drywall tape to ensure a seamless finish.
- Surface Preparation: Thoroughly prepare interior surfaces for painting or finishing, which may include sanding, cleaning, or removing prior finishes using appropriate tools and chemicals.
- Painting and Application: Apply paint to interior surfaces using a variety of techniques and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers, to achieve
- S pecialty Finishes: Create textured surfaces as required and may apply wallpaper, specialty glazes, and other decorative finishes.
- Project Planning: Accurately measure work areas and calculate the correct quantity of paint and material needed for each project.
- Protection and Cleanliness: Mask, cover, or remove fixtures and other non-painted surfaces to protect them during work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production goals.
Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience as a Drywall Finisher.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and directions.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to distinguish among colors for accurate painting and matching application.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks for prolonged periods, including standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
Schedule: - Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm
- Pay Rate - $23 or more, depending on experience
