Job Description

We are looking for an eager Bartender to join our Wonderful team. The ideal candidate will be a trained professional that understands how to effectively expedite and serve all of our guests needs.He or she will have a passion for food and beverage equally, and understands how to read a guest properly to ensure quality service, leaving a lasting impression and memorable experience.

 

MAIN DUTIES:  

• To maintain a professional and friendly demeanour at all times  
• To practice and promote teamwork by assisting your fellow bartenders, back servers, and all other colleagues whenever necessary.  
• Enter drink orders correctly and rapidly into the Micros POS  
• Responsibility for individual bank and accuracy  
• Exceptional upselling techniques  
• To ensure all allergy procedures are followed at all times  
• To deliver food and beverages to guests in an efficient and professional manner  
• To carry out daily side work duties without exception  
• To have a full understanding of New York City Health Department standards and regulations  
• To report any guest complaints immediately to the Manager/ Supervisor  
• To have comprehensive knowledge of the menu and wine list  
• To take personal responsibility for punctuality  
• Maintain high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times  
• Ensure high level of communication between the restaurant and other departments of the hotel  
• To promote other Firmdale Hotels and restaurants  

REQUIREMENTS:  

·  Extensive knowledge of wines and high end spirts

·  Knowledge of Micros POS System  

·  Highly organized  

·  Must be open to working AM/PM shifts, week days, weekends and holidays  

·  To have a full understanding of New York City Health Department standards and regulations
