RIGHT NOW. _John Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans._ **_Primary Location:_** _United States (US) - Illinois - Moline_ **_Function:_** _Law Svcs and Gov't Affairs (CA)_ **_Title:_** _Assistant General Counsel - 117058_ **_Onsite/Remote:_** _Onsite Position_ **Your Responsibilities**  As an  **Assistant General Counsel**  for  **John Deere World Headquarters** , located in  **Moline** ,  **IL, Chicago, IL, Austin, TX or Des Moines, IA** , you will provide legal research, counsel, and recommendations for legal questions and issues in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Internal Investigations, Compliance and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). In addition, you will: + Oversee matters involving commercial litigation, internal investigations, compliance, and FCPA + Manage all aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution to achieve favorable outcomes + Design and deliver training programs on legal topics to ensure compliance and operational efficiency + Stay current on emerging legal trends in litigation, internal investigations, compliance, and FCPA through continuing education, professional associations, and conferences + Support key initiatives for Deere's Global Law Services and Regulatory Affairs team **VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position** **What Skills You Need** + 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, labor and employment law, FCPA, compliance, or internal investigations + Proven ability to assess, manage, and mitigate legal risks across multiple practice areas + Strong business acumen with the ability to anticipate legal and regulatory impacts on operations + Expertise in monitoring legal trends and evaluating proposed laws and regulations + Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues + Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills + Collaborative team player with a proactive, positive approach + Demonstrated enthusiasm for technology and innovation **What Makes You Stand Out** + High sense of responsibility and initiative with a passion for learning + Experience delivering prompt, practical, and actionable legal advice + Strong judgment and decision-making skills, even in the absence of precedent + Ability to work independently and think strategically **Education** Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: + Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school + License to practice law in Illinois or ability to obtain Illinois license (in-house counsel license is available to qualified applicants) **What You'll Get** At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
